Corn Chumann na nGael is the cup which the senior Gaelic football team in SST won in 2013.

Our School are in the final of the Corn an nGearltach this year, which is a division higher. Scoil San Treasa are competing in division 2 this year which is 2014. This tournament started 86 years ago which was in 1928. The Liam McCarthy cup was made in 1921 and is 7 years older than the Sam Maguire and the Corn Chumann na nGael. The first school to win the Corn Chumann na nGael was Scoil UÍ Chonaill. All the Cumann na mBunscol cups were made in the same year as the Sam Maguire. The first team to win the Sam Maguire was Kildare and the first team to win the Liam McCarthy was Limerick. Scoil San Treasa became the 85th team to win the Corn Chumann na nGael in 2013. It was also the school’s first time to win this cup! We found it fascinating that a Cumann na mBunscol cup is as old as the Sam Maguire!
