Pupils from various classes took part in the Dare to Believe Olympic School Programme over the past few weeks. Starting from the 4th of May to the 28th of May, we completed the Irish Olympic Road to Tokyo challenge. There are four stops along the way from Ireland to Tokyo. There is Athens, New Delhi, Fukuroi and finally, Tokyo. When we reached Athens, we get some activities to do from their website. The first one was to design a uniform for a sport of your choice. So we got templates and we designed the front and the back of a sports uniform. Another one of the activities was to design a gold Olympic medal. We got to work as designers, designing an Olympic gold medal. Some people did a cycling gold medal and others did running or whatever sport they wanted. Some chose to put the Olympic symbol on theirs. So that’s what we did when we went on the Road to Tokyo Challenge. Have a look at our Olympic designs!
