On the 5th of December, sixth class held their annual Novelty Day. Mr Cadigan’s class and Mr Maguire’s class worked together to make Novelty Day as much fun as possible! This year’s Novelty Day, was a green Novelty Day. We tried to make as little plastic waste as we could, as Scoil San Treasa is a green school.

Around three weeks before Novelty Day, everyone got into groups and went around asking for prizes for our parent and children’s raffles. Some parents also donated prizes for the raffle. The week before Novelty Day everyone got their things for their stalls ready.

All of a sudden, it was the 4th of December, and we were moving down our tables and chairs to the hall. When we were finished at 2:20pm, the hall looked great. Then the morning came, we were all in at 8:40am sharp and we were really excited! There were so many new and unique stalls this year.

We raised a lot of money from the raffles. In total, approx €6000 was raised for charity. From all of 6th class, we would like to thank everyone who donated prizes, and those who came along and spent money at Novelty Day!
