A visit from Sam Maguire and Cian O Sullivan on  November 11th 2013.

Cian O’Sullivan came to visit our school today with the Sam Maguire cup. We were very excited.

Cian is a past pupil of our school and he won the All Ireland with the Dublin team this year. He also won an All Star award. He gave us lots of advice about training and working hard at sport. He also said that he remembered when he was in Scoil San Treasa, the Kilmacud Football team visited with the cup. He said that he listened to every word the captain said that day, and wished that he could be a really good footballer. Well Cian’s dream has come true …..  Cian plays in midfield for Dublin and he is a brilliant footballer.

Cian presented the boys team with their medals from the final in Croke Park last week. He also gave out some special awards for ladies football and the junior and senior boys football teams.  There were 3 awards for each group – player of the year, most improved player and a merit award.

We hope to see Cian back here with Sam again this time next year.
