SST Claim Division 2 Corn an nGearltach

On October 23rd Scoil San Treasa claimed the Corn an nGearltach title for the first time in its history.

Playing down at the hill end of Croke Park the boys overcame a very strong Ballyroan BNS team on a scoreline of 3-8 to 3-5. On the day the SST players really excelled and it was a squad effort which brought this tremendous success. Captain Michael Nealon and Vice-captain Mark Murphy proudly accepted the cup on behalf of the squad. This was a nail biting match throughout. The SST players had to deal with an early set back of conceding two quick goals and a point after their early dominance. SST’s great start only managed to yield a single point on the board. However SST fought back bravely and showed tremendous courage to get themselves into a winning position. At critical times the backline stopped heavy pressure from this strong Ballyroan outfit. Great credit must go to all 22 members of the panel on this tremendous achievement. Maith sibh! SST abú!
