This week was Engineer’s Week in our school. Earlier in the week, an engineer, Stevie, came in and taught us that engineers design solutions to all sorts of problems. In our class, we worked in groups to design something that could hold an egg and protect it from breaking when dropped from a height. All of our groups came up with very creative ideas, with cushioning, helmets, parachutes and shock absorbing tools. We went outside to test our prototypes and every egg emerged unharmed! It was a huge success and gave us a great opportunity to put our engineering skills to use!
