Building Update

Building our Future at Scoil San Treasa

The Board of Management is delighted to announce that our long-awaited development project at Scoil San Treasa is officially underway.
Building contractors are preparing the site for construction with work scheduled to commence in early November.
We are delighted to see this transformative project begin. It marks a significant milestone not only for our current school community but also for the generations of students who will benefit from the expanded facilities and enhanced learning environment in the years to come.
To help keep everyone informed, we’ve included a selection of early questions and answers below. This page will be regularly updated as the project progresses, so please check back for the latest developments

Building Project

FAQs

Q: What is being developed?

A: Upon completion of the development project, Scoil San Treasa will offer nine new classrooms and a special education facility designed to support both current and future generations of primary school students in our community.
This development represents a significant step forward in further enhancing the educational experience at Scoil San Treasa.

Q: How long will it take to complete the project?

A: We expect that the project duration will be 18 months and be completed by early 2027.

Q: How will Construction Vehicles and builders access the school site?

A: The construction site will be segregated from the school and access will be solely from North Avenue.

Q: What are the Construction Working Hours for the site?

A: The permitted working hours by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council for the site are Monday to Friday 7am - 7pm. Saturday work is permitted 8am – 2pm, with no work permitted on Sundays or bank holidays.

Q: Will the construction affect the church car park and associated grounds?

A: No – all access to the site will be via the rear of the school from North Avenue and not through the grounds of the Church Car Park.

Q: Is there any change to the way in which I drop my children to school?

A: No – all access to the school grounds for current students will remain the same.

Q: How will my child’s school day be affected by the building project?

A: As always, the health, safety and wellbeing of the students of Scoil San Treasa is our utmost priority. We will do our best to keep school life as normal as possible during the build project. We will keep you informed of any temporary changes that may impact the daily routines of students and staff as they arise.

Q: How can I stay up to date on the project?

A: We'll update this page as the project progresses.

We also have created a community WhatsApp group to keep people updated on project - this is for everyone to access and not just the Scoil San Treasa school community.

To join this group click on this link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/LIvZc7s5vWZI36Dv0RVtho?mode=wwt.

Q: I have a question who do I contact?

A: Please email your query to the Board of Management on sstbuilding@sstreasa.ie.
