In Scoil San Treasa we commemorated the centenary of the 1916 Rising with many different activities and displays taking place. In recent months, pupils in Scoil San Treasa have been reflecting on the period of history relating to 100 years ago and have engaged in various projects.

Eamon de Valera (a great grandson of Eamon de Valera who took part in the 1916 Rising) visited our school and spoke to the 5th and 6th classes. He told us many important facts and information about his great grandfather and the role that he played in the 1916 Rising. He showed us lots of photographs and memorabilia. It was very interesting.
