Healthy Eating Week

We had a focus on healthy eating in Scoil San Treasa in September.

We learned that we should be eating more carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables to be more energetic for sports and brain activity.

We should also be eating meat, fish and dairy …. And very importantly we should have a balanced diet.

You can have a very small amount of sugar.

If you are wondering why we should be eating these foods it is because they make us stronger, healthier, and help us with our sports and our brainwork.

It is so important to drink lots of water so that we will be hydrated.

Our class drew food pyramids and we had lunchbox discussions.

We learned a lot about healthy eating in that week!
