would like to invite parents to attend an Information Session for Parents,
Internet Safety and Related Issues
on
Tuesday 19th May at 7:30pm

This is a highly relevant topic for everyone but especially for parents of schoolgoing children.
Our guest presenter for the evening is Dr. Maureen Griffin BA, MA, PhD – Forensic Psychologist
Dr. Maureen Griffin has wide experience in this whole area, and will tailor the presentation to suit the needs of the audience. It will include a question and answer session. In order to defray costs associated with this most worthwhile session, we are suggesting a contribution of 5 euro per parent (or 5 euro in total for two parents from the same family). Payable on the night.
We encourage all parents to attend this session which we have organised on your behalf.
The talk will be informative and practical and will be tailored to suit the needs of the target group. Topics covered may include:
- Social Networking Sites (e.g. Club Penguin, Moshi Monsters, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Chatting Online (e.g. Facebook , Viber, WhatsApp , SnapChat)
- Online Gaming
- Safe Searching (e.g. Google , Yahoo , YouTube )
- Cyber-bullying (e.g. the psychological and legal consequences, practical advice on what to do if you are the victim of cyber-bullying)
- Mobile Phone Safety & Sexting
