A few weeks ago, we started a chess tournament. A couple weeks later, 16 of us got to represent our school in a chess tournament in Scoil Mhuire, Shankill. On the 21st February, we went on a bus at 8:45 to the school. When we arrived, we started playing practice matches. Then we started the competition. We played 6 matches in total. 5th and 6th class students played masters competition, and 3rd and 4th class students played budding masters competition [buds]. The competition was a fun and friendly meet and greet non-competitive chess tournament to practice chess.  Scoil Mhuire Shankill were very welcoming and we really enjoyed it!
