The Primary Curriculum Framework was launched by the Minister on the 9th March 2023. This Framework is for all primary and special schools and will guide teachers and school leaders in their work to enhance learning, teaching and assessment for all children.

The new Primary Curriculum framework builds on the successes and strengths of previous curricula, responds to challenges, changing needs, and priorities. It also introduces key competencies for children’s learning, and expands aspects of learning including STEM Education, Modern Foreign Languages and a broader Arts education.
