Congratulations Isla!

Fifth Class received some great news at the beginning of June. A member of our class, Isla had been awarded the Overall Winner of the An Post Primary Writing Competition. We were delighted for our classmate and proud of all the work we put in!

The competition comprised of a letter and a drawing. Children all over the country were asked to write a letter as if they were in the year 2030, writing to citizens of Ireland in 2023, telling them how happy and sustainable the country had become. Many classes in the school took part and brainstormed lots of ways in which Ireland and other countries are taking part in sustainable practice. All in all, there were 8,400 entries submitted across the country! An Post came to our school to congratulate Isla and our class. Isla's drawing will be available on postcards around the country.
