First and Second Class did a world book day quiz in the hall. They did activities with different teachers in the afternoon, like designing bookmarks, reading stories, guessing the book title and creating book covers.

First Class have been busy over the past few weeks covering lots of interesting topics. They have been learning about data in maths. They created surveys and graphs. They interviewed each other to gather data around topics that interested them, like favourite sports and animals. They learnt all about the Water Cycle and you can also see their procedural writing pieces about how to make a perfect pancake. Ms. Cowman’s class learned about Amelia Earhart for International Women's Day and other women who made a difference in history. The children made and designed airplanes as a STEM challenge for Engineering Week. They measured how far the airplanes flew.
