One day Mr. Walsh brought us out to plant potatoes at the start of May. We all had to bring in

Potatoes.  Mr. Walsh stuck the shovel in the soil.  Then he pulled back the soil and put the potato into the ground behind the shovel. We had to sow the potatoes deep in the soil because if they got any light they would not grow.

Every once in a while we had to check on them and every time we checked on them we had to

water them. Every time we checked on them nothing had happened. After a while they started to sprout. Then they started to sprout bigger and got greener.

It was very exciting watching them grow. It was also exciting how they sprouted more and more out of the ground every time we checked on them. Now it is the end of June and they are almost fully sprouted.  We will mind them and spray them for blight.
