Chinese New Year

February 1st marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year this year.  It is now the Year of the Tiger.

In 3rd and 4th Classes we learned about the Chinese Zodiac story and how each year is named after an animal.  There are 12 years in each cycle.

We learned about customs surrounding the Chinese New Year celebrations and about superstitions such as what brings good luck.

We made decorations for the Chinese New Year.
