This year, 4th Class took part in the STEPS Young Engineers Competition. We created projects to promote and improve sustainability in our community.
We recently received the news that our group, “The Golden Age Scientists”, were highly commended in the competition. Over 2,000 schools participated and we are proud to say we made it this far!
Our project demonstrated how fruit and vegetable waste from your home can be composted, and then created into energy in order to generate power for lighting and electrical appliances.
We learned a lot from this project and enjoyed demonstrating it at our school assembly to all of the other pupils.
